Staff Accountant (Hybrid, Chile)

About the role

AgroFresh is seeking a Staff Accountant to support its finance function from Chile, with up to 60 % remote work. The role ensures accurate financial reporting across multiple entities and contributes to the company’s mission of delivering fresher produce worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries under US‑GAAP and local GAAP for various LATAM and other entities.
• Review payment proposals and perform bank account reconciliations in SAP.
• Execute account reconciliations using BlackLine and review inter‑company balances.
• Validate accruals, pre‑payments, GR/IR, VAT, payroll and maintain organized archives.
• Handle VAT, withholding tax filings, EC‑Listings and Intrastat reporting for multiple jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 2‑5 years of accounting experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work independently with minimal travel.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with SAP accounting modules.
• Experience using BlackLine for reconciliations.
