Survey Programmer QA Consultant (XML/Python/JavaScript)

About the role

The Survey Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the quality, accuracy, functionality and compliance of market research surveys before and during fielding. The role tests survey instruments, validates survey logic and respondent experience, identifies defects and works with project managers, survey programmers, panel operations and client teams. It sits within a larger team focused on delivering quality data collection using a global team.

Key responsibilities

• Review survey specifications and project requirements, then test programmed surveys comprehensively before launch
• Validate survey logic, routing, skip patterns, quotas, randomization and termination criteria, and test functionality across devices and browsers
• Test multilingual surveys for consistency and accuracy, and partner with fieldwork teams to load and update key attributes during fielding
• Identify, document, prioritize and track defects, and ensure content matches client specifications and approved materials
• Monitor surveys during fielding, investigate respondent complaints and escalate critical issues, coordinating corrective actions
• Review survey data for inconsistencies, recommend quality controls and support multi-wave projects
• Explore AI-based QA tools, participate in root cause analysis and support automation initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing research, statistics, information systems, psychology or a related field preferred
• Experience in survey programming, market research operations, quality assurance or related fields
• Experience with online survey platforms and survey testing methodologies preferred
• Familiarity with market research processes and respondent management
• Advanced level of English
