System Engineer – SCADA/EMS/DMS/OMS

About the role

As a System Engineer you will deliver hardware and software installation and configuration services for Hitachi Energy's SCADA, EMS, DMS and OMS platforms. You will ensure systems are built to the company’s implementation standards and support regional market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and configure computers and servers – IP, network IDs, firmware updates, disk partitioning, OS installation and hardening.
• Use Ansible for automation and install/configure Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Perform basic installation of Oracle Database and other third‑party software.
• Configure system administration and security environments, including Active Directory, group policies and user accounts.
• Install and configure Network Manager multitier applications (SCADA/EMS/DMS/OMS).
• Manage software inventory, project releases and Fortinet firewall configurations.
• Develop and execute test plans for business and functional processes.
• Create detailed as‑built documentation, system diagrams, sizing tables and user policies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking in client‑server environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy.
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, VBS, Linux shell, Perl).
• Advanced English proficiency and willingness to travel.
