Tool Keeper

About the role

The Tool Keeper will be responsible for maintaining accountability, inventory, and serviceability of tools, materials, and consumables for GE Vernova’s FieldCore operations. This role supports the installation, maintenance and upgrade of power generation equipment, ensuring that all resources are available, safe and ready for use.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control issuing and receiving of tools, materials and consumables, ensuring specifications, quantities and delivery dates are met.
• Prepare material, tool and consumable requests and delivery order letters for outgoing items.
• Transport materials between customer and FieldCore warehouses and notify engineers when ready for use.
• Compile quarterly inventory reports and maintain minimum stock levels.
• Ensure safety and readiness of all issued items, including chemical inventories, lifting accessories, scaffolding, electrical and power tools, hand tools, machinery and PPE.
• Report safety issues to the safety specialist or manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including travel and work on holidays, weekends and overtime as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma (preferred).
• At least two years of experience as a Tool Keeper, preferably in the power or energy sector.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends and overtime and to travel as needed.
