About the role
NSC Global is seeking a Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer to join its growing IT team. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users, handling hardware, software and account issues while ensuring smooth daily operations across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and log help‑desk requests via phone and work orders, documenting user details and problem descriptions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, peripheral and operating‑system issues on Windows and macOS desktops.
- Install, upgrade and configure software applications, drivers and system updates.
- Perform file‑backup procedures and verify that fixes resolve the reported problems.
- Escalate complex tickets to senior technicians when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of actions taken, decisions made and final resolutions.
- Create knowledge‑base articles and help sheets for common issues.
Required profile
- 1‑2 years of experience providing desktop support or a related technical role.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with end‑users.
