Freelance Peer Reviewer – Geotechnical & Coastal Engineering

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers to join our network of freelance peer reviewers specializing in geotechnical and coastal engineering. This remote, contract‑based position allows you to contribute your expertise to scholarly journals and publishers while working on a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity, relevance, and scientific soundness.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection based on your evaluation.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least two peer‑reviewed publications within the last two years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
