About the role
The Key Account Manager (KAM) for Mercado Libre will drive growth, profitability and strategic development of adidas on one of its most important pure‑player marketplace partners. This short‑term assignment combines commercial ownership, strategic planning and hands‑on marketplace execution in a fast‑paced digital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own sales, profitability and marketplace performance targets; lead business reviews, forecasting and performance tracking.
- Monitor KPIs such as Sell‑Out, Conversion, Traffic, Share of Business, ASP and Margin; identify risks and opportunities and create action plans.
- Define assortment strategy by category and season, optimise product mix and inventory depth, and develop growth plans with Mercado Libre.
- Drive improvements in visibility, content quality, ratings, conversion and consumer experience; lead promotional, campaign and retail media execution.
- Maintain the relationship with Mercado Libre counterparts, lead top‑to‑top meetings and joint business planning, and coordinate cross‑functional teams (Planning, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Digital).
- Support strategic initiatives related to fulfillment, automation, omnichannel capabilities and scalability.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field; postgraduate studies (MBA, eCommerce, Digital or CRM) are a strong plus.
- 4+ years of experience in eCommerce, marketplaces, digital commerce, commercial or key account management roles.
- Strong understanding of marketplace ecosystems and digital business models.
- Commercial and analytical mindset with forecasting and business planning capabilities.
- Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
