Senior Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead the development and execution of best‑practice strategies for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across all product lines, from residential to utility‑scale. You will act as the domain expert, collaborating with internal ESS teams and external partners to deliver optimal solutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement best practices for small to large BESS projects covering residential, commercial, industrial, utility‑scale, and UPS applications.
• Serve as the BESS domain expert, coordinating with parent ESS parties, reviewing financial considerations, and approving optimal project solutions.
• Create metrics and targets to drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Establish methods for tracking construction progress, identifying acquisition opportunities, and spotting new market segments; report status to the global team.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and networking committees, staying abreast of market trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors, procurement, construction, and EPC partners.
• Negotiate contracts with customers, partners, vendors, consultants, and installation subcontractors to strengthen Gotion’s competitive position.

Required profile

• BA in Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of business development experience.
• 3+ years in the energy sector, specifically in ESS/BESS.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities.
• Experience in a startup or fast‑growth environment.
• Global experience with an understanding of multicultural decision‑making processes.
