Staff Accountant

About the role

AgroFresh is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its finance team in Chile. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and reliability of financial data across multiple entities and regions.

Key responsibilities

• Book entries under US‑GAAP and local GAAP for various LATAM and other entities.
• Review payment proposals and perform bank account reconciliations using SAP GL accounts.
• Conduct account reconciliations in Blackline and review intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintain correctness of accruals, pre‑payments, GR/IR, VAT, and payroll accounts.
• Organize archives for the accounting area and manage VAT, WHT filings, EC‑Listings, and Intrastat reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 2‑5 years of accounting experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong command of Excel and SAP for accounting tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders across corporate finance, sales, customer service, and operations.
