Accounting Analyst – Lima, Peru

About the role

Zelestra is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join its Finance team in Lima. You will be responsible for executing and analysing the company’s accounting management in Peru, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record and analyse accounting transactions in accordance with IFRS.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closings.
• Prepare and review bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Analyse balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts, identifying variances.
• Manage provisions, accruals and accounting reclassifications.
• Prepare supporting information for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations such as IGV, withholding taxes, detracciones and electronic accounting books.
• Prepare and validate reports submitted to SUNAT.
• Collaborate on improving accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar accounting roles, preferably in engineering, construction or electrical sectors.
• Experience in renewable‑energy companies is a plus.
• Knowledge of Peruvian tax legislation.
• Intermediate English proficiency (desirable).

Required skills

• Intermediate/advanced Excel.
• User‑level proficiency in SAP FI‑CO module.
• Strong understanding of IFRS.
