About the role
The Business Development Manager will act as the voice of Array Technologies’ customers – ranging from EPC firms to solar developers and independent power producers – to ensure our products and services meet their evolving needs. You will drive sales, deepen relationships, and identify new opportunities that add value for both customers and the company.
Key responsibilities
- Sell Array Technologies’ products and services to solar EPCs, developers, and IPPs.
- Strengthen existing customer relationships by understanding their business objectives and aligning Array’s solutions.
- Create and manage an annual sales plan for assigned customers.
- Communicate Array’s product differentiation and economic value proposition to customers, contractors, and industry players.
- Anticipate upcoming customer projects and activities.
- Understand each prospective customer’s concerns and decision variables.
- Lead responses to RFQs and close sales.
- Develop proposals that maintain or grow market share.
- Collaborate with sales and product management teams to address challenging customer requirements or field issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience, preferably with an economically differentiated industrial product.
- Experience in the solar, renewables, or power‑generation equipment market is preferred.
- Proven track record of communicating product technical attributes and economic value.
- Strong written, presentation, and conversational skills.
- Leadership ability with experience mentoring and developing teams.
- Demonstrated capability to work effectively across multiple organizations.
