HR Generalist

About the role

We are seeking an HR Generalist to lead payroll operations and support daily HR activities in our Santiago office. The role ensures accurate compensation, maintains employee records, and guarantees compliance with Dominican labor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain knowledge of the Dominican Social Security Treasury (TSS) system.
• Prepare employment contracts and complete hiring documentation.
• Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
• Update and manage employee records and personnel files.
• Submit government‑required reports and ensure compliance with the Dominican Labor Code.
• Assist with invoices, vacation, medical leaves, insurance, and uniform processes.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.
• Investigate labor law issues and provide recommendations.
• Participate in disciplinary meetings and terminations alongside HR management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, business administration, or a related field (HR degree preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of HR experience, preferably with payroll exposure.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using payroll and HR systems.
