About the role

The NHS Lanarkshire team is seeking a Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner to work as a theatre scrub nurse. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality care to patients across North and South Lanarkshire.

Key responsibilities

Assess patient care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care programmes in the operating theatre.
Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, standards and professional codes of conduct.
Report outcomes to senior staff to support monitoring of care standards.

Required profile

Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
SVQ Level III or Diploma in Operating Department Practice.
Strong team‑working ability and initiative.
Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
