Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner – Theatre Scrub

About the role
The NHS Lanarkshire team is seeking a Registered Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner to work as a theatre scrub nurse. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality care to patients across North and South Lanarkshire.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patient care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care programmes in the operating theatre.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, standards and professional codes of conduct.
- Report outcomes to senior staff to support monitoring of care standards.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
- SVQ Level III or Diploma in Operating Department Practice.
- Strong team‑working ability and initiative.
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
