About the role
We are seeking a Clerical Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to clinical and non‑clinical staff within NHS Lanarkshire’s Medicine department. The role ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations and contributes to high‑quality patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general reception duties, greeting visitors and managing enquiries.
- Operate the switchboard, directing calls to appropriate departments.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Handle photocopying and other routine office tasks.
Required profile
- Educated to standard grade level or possess experience in a similar role.
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills with a focus on customer care.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
