Medical Affairs Manager – Orthopedic Products

About the role

The Medical Affairs Manager for DePuy Synthes in Chile will act as the medical and scientific leader for orthopedic products across the product lifecycle. Reporting to the regional medical affairs function, the role collaborates closely with commercial, regulatory, quality and market access teams to ensure safe, effective and compliant product use while building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific leadership for DePuy Synthes products in Chile, aligning with global and regional strategies.
• Serve as the primary medical contact for healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and professional societies, facilitating credible and compliant scientific exchange.
• Design and execute local medical education programs, advisory boards and clinical training activities.
• Support clinical evidence generation, including investigator‑initiated studies, post‑market surveillance and real‑world evidence activities.
• Review promotional and marketing materials to ensure scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with regulatory, quality and vigilance teams to address safety issues, product complaints and risk management.
• Monitor local clinical practice trends, competitive landscape and unmet medical needs to inform strategy.
• Contribute to cross‑functional planning and execution of product launches and lifecycle management initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical or scientific degree with experience in medical affairs, preferably within orthopedics or related therapeutic areas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Familiarity with regulatory, quality and pharmacovigilance processes.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with commercial, regulatory, quality and market access teams.
