About the role

Uber is seeking a high‑leverage Regional Operations Manager to lead the LatAm Ops Team, focusing on the Matching and Trip Radar engines that connect millions of riders and earners daily. You will operate at the intersection of data science, product engineering, and local operations, tackling some of the most visible challenges in one of Uber’s critical global regions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the diagnosis of marketplace failures across LatAm, conducting deep‑dive analyses to uncover structural gaps in matching logic.
• Architect, review, and recommend experiments for matching algorithms, ensuring global product builds address local complexities.
• Act as the strategic lead for regional launches, aligning local priorities with global roadmaps to maximize impact.
• Build automated frameworks and tools that increase operational velocity and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, influencing the roadmap of core marketplace tools.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of professional experience in operations, analytics, or product‑focused roles.
• Fluent English with strong stakeholder‑management skills across time zones.
• Bias for action and comfort owning high‑impact projects that affect millions of users.
