Registered Nurse – General Outpatients

About the role

The NHS Lanarkshire Outpatients team is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care for General Outpatients. You will assess patient needs, develop and evaluate care programmes, and work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing support and medication administration via the Hepma system to patients in the Discharge Lounge.
• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate individual care programmes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
• Adhere to national and local policies, legislation, and ward protocols.
• Demonstrate procedures and supervise registered, unregistered staff and student nurses as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Minimum 18 months post‑registration experience.
• Strong team‑working ability and initiative.
• Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Hepma medication administration system.
