Accounting Specialist – IFRS Reporting (Santiago, Chile)

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to lead IFRS‑compliant reporting for Bayer in Chile. The role combines senior accounting expertise with a focus on process automation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS financial statements for Chile.
• Act as first point of contact for accounting queries, supervise team activities and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Support internal and external audits and guarantee compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Review balance‑sheet and P&L accounts, and contribute to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
• Lead process improvements, drive automation projects and promote innovation within the accounting function.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching and knowledge sharing to team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Chilean local accounting standards.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
