Advanced Nurse Practitioner & Team Lead – Respiratory

About the role

The NHS Fife is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to lead its Respiratory Nurse Specialist team while maintaining a hands‑on clinical practice. This senior role combines leadership, service development and direct patient care for complex respiratory conditions across acute and community settings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Respiratory Nurse Specialist team and drive service redesign.
• Deliver advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with complex respiratory conditions.
• Develop and expand the Respiratory Virtual Ward to provide hospital‑level care at home.
• Support multidisciplinary collaboration and innovative models of care.
• Contribute to quality improvement, workforce development and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Master’s level qualification in Advanced Practice.
• Independent Nurse Prescribing qualification.
• Significant experience in respiratory care at an advanced practice level.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
