Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Walk-In Urgent Care

About the role

We are seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Walk-In Urgent Care service across Fife. Working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including weekends, you will assess and treat paediatric and adult patients in a community-based urgent care setting.

Key responsibilities

• Autonomously diagnose, treat and review patients presenting to the walk-in service.
• Provide specialist advice and education to healthcare professionals, patients, carers and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate evidence-based practice, guidelines and policies.
• Support the Lead Nurse in service development and ensure safe, patient-centred care.
• Travel between Queen Margaret Hospital, Victoria Hospital and St Andrews to deliver care.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse with substantial post-registration experience.
• Working towards or holding an MSc-level Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification and Independent Nurse Prescriber status.
• Experience in teaching, clinical supervision, research and audit within urgent care.
• Commitment to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
