Category Manager HP Solutions

About the role

This Category Manager role manages product lines and contributes to defining business plans and growth strategies. It works closely with sales teams to execute category plans while monitoring KPIs and sales performance, and acts as an expert in guiding process improvements and setting policies. The position is based in Las Condes, Chile.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagement with one or several sales teams with limited oversight from the manager, in line with organizational policies and procedures.
• Help define the category business plan and strategies to drive growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales and finance teams to run category plans smoothly.
• Monitor KPIs and sales performance, identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
• Gather and analyze customer feedback and data to turn insights into improvements.
• Represent the team at a senior level with the sales force and partners, and hold responsibility for product line and quota management for a large part of the range or a customer segment.
• Oversee areas such as market analysis and marketing engagement, and lead partnerships with external IT vendors.

Required profile

• Four-year or graduate degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field, or commensurate experience.
• Typically 7-10 years of experience, preferably in category management, P&L management or a related field.
