About the role
The Clerical Officer – Medicine provides essential administrative and clerical support to both clinical and non‑clinical staff within NHS Lanarkshire. Working in a busy healthcare environment, you will help ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations for the medical team.
Key responsibilities
- Perform general reception duties, greeting visitors and managing enquiries.
- Operate the switchboard, directing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.
- Handle photocopying and other routine office tasks as required.
Required profile
- Education to standard grade level or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills with a focus on customer care.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
