Construction Coordinator – Concrete

About the role

The Construction Coordinator – Concrete will oversee subcontractor planning, safety, quality and technical activities on a complex mining project. Working on‑site in Escondida, you will ensure that construction operations align with overall project schedules and that work is performed safely and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality and technical activities.
• Support medium‑size projects of medium to high complexity involving multiple stakeholders.
• Track subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material/equipment requirements.
• Review subcontractor construction methods, manning charts and ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Coordinate construction operations impact on external interfaces to meet overall schedules.
• Verify installation of materials and equipment against drawings, specifications and vendor requirements.
• Enforce field construction policies, procedures and work rules.
• Assist Construction Field Engineers, Foremen and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering and vendor documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating subcontractor activities on complex construction projects.
• Ability to supervise field operations and ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, resources and material logistics.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and external interfaces.
• Capability to interpret engineering design documents and vendor specifications.
