Consultant Paediatrician – Epilepsy & Neurology (Part‑time)

About the role

The NHS Fife is seeking a Consultant General Paediatrician with a special interest in Paediatric Epilepsy and Neurology. This substantive 5‑session (part‑time) post joins an established epilepsy/neurology service serving both community and acute settings across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical care for children with epilepsy and neurological disorders.
• Collaborate with two existing consultant colleagues and specialty nurses within the service.
• Contribute to paediatric services in both community and acute hospital environments.
• Support training and teaching for junior doctors and medical students.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and service development initiatives.

Required profile

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register (CCT or within 6 months of entry).
• Equivalent UK‑level training for non‑UK applicants.
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care and teaching.
