CSI Designer / CS&I Designer

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a CSI Designer to join its Mining & Metals team in Santiago. The role involves designing and developing control and instrumentation solutions for critical mineral projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and manage the design process for control and instrumentation systems, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Select and apply appropriate methods, techniques, and engineering criteria for control systems and instrumentation.
• Participate in the design, development, and modification of mechanical components and processes using Bechtel’s engineering procedures and standards.
• Coordinate control systems engineering efforts with specialty groups, customers, suppliers, contractors, and construction teams.
• Provide technical answers and support to clients and construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in control and instrumentation design.
• Ability to work independently, make technical judgments, and adapt designs as needed.
• Strong coordination and communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams.
