Developer Portal & Community Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Developer Portal & Community Manager to join our partner’s team in Chile. The role sits at the heart of an open‑hardware product, ensuring that the developer portal becomes the definitive source of truth for engineers, contributors and enthusiasts worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the public Developer Portal, keeping content accurate, well‑structured and easy to navigate.
• Translate internal engineering discussions, technical updates and product changes into clear documentation, guides and README‑style content.
• Maintain wiki pages, GitHub repositories and other developer‑facing resources across multiple sub‑projects.
• Participate in engineering meetings to stay aligned with development progress and product direction.
• Moderate community contributions, issues and pull requests, ensuring quality and constructive collaboration.
• Collect feedback from the developer community and relay actionable insights to internal teams.
• Support developers in using the portal, contributing code and engaging with the ecosystem.

Required profile

• Excellent written communication with a proven track record of producing clear technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of software development workflows, especially Git, branches, commits and pull requests.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and present them with diagrams or flowcharts when needed.
• Comfortable working closely with hardware and software engineers and participating in technical discussions.
• Organised mindset focused on information architecture and clarity.
