Diseñador Junior – Proyectos Civiles y Mineros

About the role

Hatch is looking for a Junior Designer to join its Project Delivery Group in Santiago. The role offers the chance to work on large‑scale mining and industrial infrastructure projects, developing civil engineering models and drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 2D/3D models and detailed drawings for civil and mining infrastructure.
• Support the production of deliverables related to earthworks, roads, site drainage and topographic surfaces.
• Create technical documentation and engineering drawings in accordance with project standards.
• Apply modelling and design tools to generate civil engineering solutions.
• Coordinate activities and deliverables with designers, engineers and other disciplines.
• Participate in review and quality‑control processes for models and technical documents.

Required profile

• Education as Draftsperson, Technical Designer, Construction Technician, BIM Technician or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in design or modelling of engineering projects.
• Knowledge of technical drawing, plan interpretation and documentation generation.
• Basic 3‑D modelling skills applied to engineering projects.
• Interest in a technical career focused on mining and industrial projects.
• Basic proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.

Required skills

• Autodesk Civil 3D (basic level).
• Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
• Bentley MicroStation.
• Basic topography knowledge.
• Navisworks.
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or other BIM environments.
• Technical English.
