Elementary School Coordinator of Student Wellbeing & Support

About the role

The Elementary School Coordinator of Student Wellbeing and Support ensures a safe, inclusive, and learning‑ready environment for all elementary learners. Working closely with teachers, counselors, and school leadership, the coordinator strengthens Tier 1 classroom practices, contributes to Tier 2 support systems, and assists with Tier 3 social‑emotional and behavioral interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate restorative and accountability‑based responses to student behavior.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of SEL programs.
• Collaborate with staff to align practices with MTSS, PBIS, and restorative frameworks.
• Monitor compliance with Chilean school convivencia regulations and internal policies.
• Provide guidance on neurodivergent learning profiles and their impact on behavior and engagement.
• Promote a culture of belonging, kindness, respect, and responsibility across the elementary school.

Required profile

• Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience working with children in school settings.
• Knowledge of Chilean regulations related to convivencia escolar and the Reglamento Interno.
• Experience implementing Social‑Emotional Learning (SEL) programs.
• Understanding of child development, behavior science, and neurodivergent profiles.
• Familiarity with MTSS, PBIS, and restorative practices (preferred).
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.
