Engineer (4D Support)

About the role

Bechtel is seeking an Engineer specialized in 4D/Digital Delivery to support the ENTS project at the Minera Escondida mine in Antofagasta, Chile. The role focuses on creating and maintaining 4D construction models that integrate the 3‑D BIM model with the Primavera P6 schedule, enabling visualization and optimization of the construction sequence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain 4D construction models by linking 3D BIM elements to Primavera P6 activities using Synchro 4D, Navisworks and ModelBuilder.
• Produce 4D construction sequence simulations at L3/CWP and L4/IWP levels to support constructability reviews and identify sequencing clashes.
• Quality‑check 3D model and schedule inputs, verify geolocation, LOD, metadata integrity and version control in line with Appendix Q – 4D BIM Model Requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the project’s Model 4D/5D Development Plan, ISO 19650/EIR and Bechtel’s safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Controls and Construction teams to integrate data flows (MAP → TeamWorks → P6 → 4D).

Required profile

• Experience with BIM‑based construction modeling and schedule integration.
• Familiarity with mining or large‑scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Ability to work on a remote, high‑altitude site and adhere to strict quality and safety procedures.
