About the role
MissionHires is looking for a dynamic Head of Business Development to lead its transportation portfolio, with a focus on bus operators. You will own the end‑to‑end commercial cycle, from prospecting new partners to closing strategic agreements and managing ongoing relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the full sales process – prospect, qualify, negotiate, close, and retain key transportation partners.
- Build and nurture a high‑performing business development and account management team.
- Monitor route and partner performance, applying data‑driven tactics to improve profitability.
- Define and enforce sales processes, tools, KPIs, and best‑practice frameworks.
- Collaborate with Network Planning, Operations, Finance, and Marketing to align commercial goals.
- Represent MissionHires at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with suppliers to enhance operator agreements.
Required profile
- 5+ years leading business development in the transportation sector (preferably buses) or a major tech firm serving transportation.
- Proven hunter mindset with a track record of generating and closing new business.
- Experience designing and executing go‑to‑market and commercial strategies.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills across planning, operations, finance, and marketing.
- Executive presence and ability to act as a company ambassador at public forums.
Required skills
- Professional proficiency in English.
