Hospital Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Registered Nurse to join our night shift team. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, coordinate patient flow, and act as a charge nurse when required, ensuring high‑quality care in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients across medical, surgical, intensive care, and emergency settings.
• Take vital signs, administer medications, IV solutions, and perform other prescribed medical procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient charts in compliance with hospital policies and the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Lead and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, ensuring continuity of care.
• Perform medication accountability and narcotic counts each shift.
• Adhere to infection‑control, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program (RN degree or diploma) with an unrestricted state RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; ENPC and TNCC preferred within 12 months.
• Previous emergency‑room nursing experience and acceptable background check.
