Laundry Assistant – Hospital Support Services

About the role

Join the dedicated Support Services team at Victoria Hospital Laundry, providing high‑quality washing and finishing for bedding, linen, uniforms, patient clothing and theatre wear. You will help ensure that all items are processed and delivered on time while maintaining strict health, safety and wellbeing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment to wash, dry, iron and fold hospital textiles.
• Sort and prioritize items according to departmental needs.
• Ensure timely delivery of clean items to all hospital users.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laundry area.
• Follow health, safety and infection‑control procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Reliable, flexible and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills for safe and effective operation.
• Willingness to work across varied shift patterns, including weekends.
