O&M Technician – Wastewater Operations

About the role

Join Ecolab’s wastewater team to support safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible onsite operations. As an O&M Technician you will help customers reduce water, energy and resource consumption while ensuring wastewater treatment systems run smoothly and meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor industrial wastewater treatment systems, including reverse‑osmosis and membrane technologies.
• Maintain compliance with environmental standards and internal operational goals.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and implement continuous‑improvement actions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using advanced monitoring and control systems.
• Ensure a safe workplace by following all safety procedures and reporting hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Experience using basic hand tools and standard computer applications (email, MS Office).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in hot, cold, noisy or dirty environments.
• Eligibility to work without immigration sponsorship.

Required skills

• Basic hand‑tool operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with SCADA, HMI or CMMS systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of reverse‑osmosis or membrane‑based wastewater treatment (preferred).
