Post Registration Foundation Pharmacist – Cross‑Sector Role

About the role

This is a Post Registration Foundation Pharmacist position based in NHS Fife, offering a unique cross‑sector experience that combines work in GP practices with hospital wards. The role is designed for newly qualified pharmacists who want to develop clinical and technical expertise while completing the RPS Post Registration Foundation Training programme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑centred pharmacy services across primary and secondary care settings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams in GP practices, hospital departments, and mental health services.
• Complete learning outcomes of the RPS foundation training programme, including independent prescribing qualification.
• Engage in projects that support the integrated pharmacy service across Fife.
• Maintain regular meetings with an educational supervisor and peer support network.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist, eligible for post‑registration training.
• Motivated and enthusiastic about developing clinical pharmacy skills.
• Willingness to work in both community and hospital environments.
• Commitment to patient‑focused care and collaborative practice.

Required skills

• Independent prescribing qualification (or willingness to obtain it).
