Python Developer – Remote Backend Engineer

About the role

BairesDev is seeking an experienced Python Developer to design, build, and operate backend services and data‑processing systems in AWS. The role is fully remote and offers the chance to work on distributed microservices and asynchronous pipelines that power core product functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain asynchronous and batch processing systems on AWS (SQS, Lambda, ECS).
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate services in AWS environments.
• Debug production issues, improve system reliability, performance, and observability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production backend experience with Python.
• Strong expertise in FastAPI.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and event‑driven architectures.
• Proven experience building distributed systems and asynchronous processing pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Pytest for unit and integration testing.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
