Registered Nurse – Urology

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team at NHS Lanarkshire as a Registered Nurse on the Urology ward. You will be responsible for assessing patient care needs, developing and implementing care programmes, and ensuring high‑quality delivery throughout a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programmes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
• Work in line with national policies, local legislation, ward procedures and clinical protocols.
• Supervise and demonstrate procedures to registered, unregistered staff and student nurses when required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Strong team‑working ability and capacity to work independently.
• Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of relevant National and Local policies, legislation and clinical procedures.
