Senior Backend Developer – AI‑Powered API Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our AI Pods team and build reliable, AI‑powered API services. You will work on connecting large language models with internal systems, vector databases and external tools, delivering secure and scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend API services together with LLM orchestration layers.
• Construct and maintain advanced Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embedding and retrieval tuning.
• Develop and integrate agent tools using LangChain, LangGraph and potentially Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Enforce security, privacy, enterprise‑grade observability and test coverage across all backend workflows.
• Drive architecture decisions and engineering standards within the pod.
• Collaborate with frontend, data and infrastructure teams.
• Own API contracts and service reliability, ensuring graceful handling of AI edge cases.
• Provide reusable orchestration frameworks for downstream developers.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• 2+ years of Python development for high‑performance, cloud‑native APIs.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Docker and ECS/EKS.
• Experience with RESTful API design and secure coding practices.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2).
