Senior Engineer (Managed IoT Network Platform)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Managed IoT Network Platform team in Santiago. The position focuses on backend development, PostgreSQL, Node.js and distributed systems, and operates in a hybrid model with two days per week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable software solutions for a Managed IoT platform.
• Build and enhance backend services using Node.js.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including complex business logic.
• Write and optimise stored procedures, functions, triggers, views and queries.
• Troubleshoot issues across frontend applications, backend services, databases and system integrations.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision‑making.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and operations teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Drive software quality through testing, code reviews and best engineering practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Effective communication in English.
• Nice‑to‑have: IoT platform or telecommunications background.
