Senior Pharmacy Technician – Aseptic Services

About the role

The NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service is seeking an experienced, GPhC‑registered Pharmacy Technician to lead the Aseptic Dispensing Unit at Victoria Hospital. You will manage day‑to‑day operations, support a multidisciplinary team, and ensure the highest standards of aseptic medication preparation for a population of 380,000.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational management and development of the Aseptic Dispensing Unit.
• Coordinate distribution and stock management of aseptic medicines.
• Maintain compliance with GPhC standards and NHS policies.
• Provide coverage for evening, weekend and public holiday service as part of the wider pharmacy team.
• Support staff training, performance management and professional development.

Required profile

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and proven post‑qualification experience.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships across healthcare professionals.
• Willingness to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
