Senior Pharmacy Technician – Aseptic Services

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to lead our Aseptic Dispensing Unit at Victoria Hospital. The role involves operational management, team development and ensuring high‑quality aseptic services for the NHS Fife population.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Aseptic Dispensing Unit.
• Develop and mentor the pharmacy technician team.
• Manage distribution and stock control of aseptic medicines.
• Support evening, weekend and public‑holiday pharmacy services.
• Ensure compliance with GPhC standards and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and substantial post‑qualification experience.
• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Experience in distribution, stock management and use of IT systems is desirable.
• Previous experience of staff management is an advantage.
