Software Applications Developer

About the role

The Software Applications Developer is a core member of the Product Development Team, working closely with the Product Owner to turn designs into functional, high‑quality software. You will create well‑documented, unit‑testable code while adhering to project coding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and extend existing Windows desktop applications.
• Perform component, feature, system and product analysis and modeling.
• Create unit‑test plans and resolve product defects.
• Design or recommend changes to data structures, business objects and UI elements.
• Participate in design, release and sprint planning activities.
• Conduct software testing using defined procedures and tools.
• Write supporting documentation, including test plans, technical specifications and in‑code comments.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers, Technical Support and other teams to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead code, design and test reviews and drive R&D improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of programming/analysis experience in a business environment.
• At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft C++.
• Experience with ISAM and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; self‑managing and highly motivated.
• Proven experience developing desktop applications for Microsoft Windows.
• Knowledge of database design concepts and SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with customers and internal teams.
