Specialist Clinical Pharmacist – Digital & Information (12‑month fixed term)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position places you at the centre of digital transformation within NHS Fife. As a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will lead the rollout of the Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HEPMA) system across multiple hospital sites, ensuring safer and more efficient medicines use.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the implementation and embedding of HEPMA into everyday clinical practice.
• Support pharmacy and multidisciplinary staff through change management and training.
• Collaborate with digital, clinical and IT teams to optimise system performance and patient outcomes.
• Participate in pharmacy rotas, including weekends, public holidays and on‑call duties, with adjustments during rollout periods.
• Provide remote and on‑site support as required across NHS Fife locations.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with solid clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to adapt clinical commitments to meet digital project timelines.

Required skills

• HEPMA system implementation experience.
