Specialist Pharmacy Technician – Aseptic Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced GPhC‑registered pharmacy technician to lead our Aseptic Dispensing Unit within NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service. The role involves ensuring safe, high‑quality preparation of aseptically dispensed medicines and providing operational leadership across a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Aseptic Dispensing Unit, overseeing daily operations and compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure the accurate preparation and supply of aseptically dispensed medicines.
• Supervise and develop pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams, including pharmacists, nurses and community pharmacy colleagues.
• Participate in variable shift patterns, covering weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.

Required profile

• GPhC‑registered pharmacy technician with extensive post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in managing staff and leading a team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider healthcare team.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
