Staff Nurse – Dermatology

About the role

This permanent position is for a Staff Nurse working within the Dermatology department, supporting outpatient services across University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality nursing care to dermatology patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care programmes for dermatology patients with minimal supervision.
• Deliver nursing care in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective outpatient services.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical documentation.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of departmental practices.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of organisational policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated, organised and committed to dermatology nursing.

Required skills

• UK driving licence (essential for travel between sites).
• Proficiency in using NHS clinical documentation systems.
