About the role

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Field Service Operations team in Vallenar. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of Astro 25 radio communication systems for public safety customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned telecommunications equipment, adhering to quality policies.
• Monitor and control radio communication devices installed at various client sites.
• Provide timely responses to service requests within established deadlines.
• Maintain backup power solutions, including Eaton power plants and generator groups, ensuring optimal operation.

Required profile

• Technical education (mid‑level or higher) in telecommunications or a related field.
• Permanent residence in Vallenar or surrounding areas.
• Valid Class B driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.

Required skills

• Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) systems.
• Experience handling AC/DC power circuits.
• Familiarity with backup power systems such as UPS, power plants, and generators.
• Hands‑on experience in telecommunications maintenance.
