Application Security Engineer

About the role

AudienceView is seeking an Application Security Engineer to protect its live‑event software platform. You will lead PCI DSS compliance, secure AI/LLM integrations, and ensure the safety of web and API services while supporting rapid product delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support AudienceView’s PCI DSS compliance program, including scoping, gap assessments, evidence collection, and audit coordination.
• Plan and execute penetration tests on internal/external systems, web applications, and APIs, documenting findings and driving remediation.
• Perform application security assessments and code reviews across the software portfolio.
• Evaluate and secure AI and large‑language‑model integrations.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, with flexible hours for incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and design security controls aligned with industry and regulatory frameworks.
• Review system architectures, network configurations, and deployments to ensure PCI DSS requirements are met from design to production.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security and compliance into the SDLC and investigate security alerts.

Required profile

• Passionate about cybersecurity and PCI DSS compliance in a fast‑moving environment.
• Curious about AI/LLM security implications and eager to shape safe deployment practices.
• Thrives in collaborative, fast‑paced settings while balancing security and business agility.
• Excellent communicator able to explain complex security topics to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including auditors.
• Enjoys mentoring peers and fostering a strong security culture.

Required skills

• Hands‑on web and API penetration testing using Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nmap, etc.
• Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and real‑world application vulnerabilities.
• Experience with vulnerability discovery, validation, and remediation lifecycle ownership.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS compliance processes and documentation.
