Editorial and Desktop Publishing Assistant (Spanish)

About the role

The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is seeking a motivated Editorial and Desktop Publishing Assistant fluent in Spanish. The role supports the Marketing and Dissemination Unit by producing and maintaining a range of communication materials.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialized assistance to officers in creating and delivering information and communication products.
• Update and visualize content for web pages, brochures, and social media accounts.
• Upload publications to the digital repository and ECLAC website, ensuring accurate metadata.
• Identify and retrieve documents from the United Nations Official Documents System (ODS) and verify terminology.
• Perform daily maintenance of network drives and support shift/on‑call duties as needed.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, and preparation of presentations and reports.

Required profile

• Knowledge of UN structures and procedures.
• Familiarity with digital publishing and web technologies.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle overtime or weekend duties.
