Nurse Coordinator – Ambulatory Oncology Clinic

About the role

The Wilmot Cancer Clinic at Highland Hospital is seeking a full‑time Nurse Coordinator to provide continuity of care across multiple ambulatory oncology clinics. Working Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, you will act as a liaison between patients, multidisciplinary teams, and the infusion center, ensuring seamless clinical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient education and symptom‑management support for GYN Oncology, Geriatric Oncology, and Supportive Care clinics.
• Coordinate clinic schedules, conduct pre‑clinic huddles, and follow up with patients via phone calls.
• Manage in‑basket communications, resource allocation, and coverage for the infusion center as needed.
• Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or committee member when required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and act on action items before and after each clinic session.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in New York State.
• Experience in oncology or ambulatory nursing preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
