Accounting Manager – Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our fully remote team serving US‑based clients. The role oversees all accounting outcomes for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with TGG Way standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer invoicing, vendor bills, and approve payroll on a weekly basis.
• Perform P&L scrubs, cash‑flow forecasts, and resolve collections issues.
• Manage weekly recurring accounting processes as directed by the Controller.
• Complete monthly technical QA checklists, balance‑sheet workbooks, and sales‑tax pre‑payments.
• Review and approve journal entries, financial notes, and final financial statements prepared by Staff Accountants.
• Conduct quarterly 941 reconciliations and prepare sales‑tax returns.
• Coordinate annual 1099 filings, chart‑of‑accounts reviews, and personal‑property tax submissions.
• Lead new‑client implementation by reviewing existing processes, recommending improvements, and creating initial reports such as cash‑flow forecasts and month‑end workbooks.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably with US‑based clients.
• Strong understanding of month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and US GAAP.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or NetSuite (preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills – formulas, data organization, basic analysis.
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.
